What Reel Quarter is — and what it isn't
Reel Quarter is a British comparison publication about licensed online casinos. The name describes the job: we treat the online casino market the way a good magazine treats its beat — a quarter of the industry at a time, read closely, compared honestly, and revisited rather than written once and forgotten.
What we do
We select a small set of online casino operators, verify each one's licence in the Gambling Commission's public register — licensee name, account number, licence status and registered domain — and then compare them against a fixed set of criteria, with mobile experience as our current lead angle. The result is a graded comparison in which every factual claim can be traced to the register or to the operator's own published material, and every opinion is clearly ours.
What we don't do
We are not a casino, a bookmaker, a payment service or a wallet. Reel Quarter holds no gambling licence because it provides no gambling: no bets are placed here, no deposits held, no withdrawals processed, no player accounts kept. We are not a regulator either, and we have no connection to the Gambling Commission, to GAMSTOP or to any government body — when we link to them, it is because they are the authoritative sources, not because they endorse us. They don't.
How the site is funded
Through affiliate commissions. Some of the operator links on this site are commercial: if you register or deposit after clicking one, the operator may pay us. That is the entire business model, stated plainly. Commercial relationships can influence which operators appear on the site; they do not alter licence facts, and the grades remain our editorial judgement. Why trust a site that earns from clicks?
A fair question, and one we'd ask too. Our answer is verifiability rather than reassurance: we publish the licensee name, account number and a direct register link for every operator in the footer of every page, so any reader can check our factual claims against the primary source in under a minute.
